I had swum really well and with that peaceful tiredness that sometimes comes from leaving the indoor pools I walked out to my car. In a bit of a daze and yet rush because it was cold I placed my bag in the boot and grabbed my phone from the secret spot in the boot (as I leave my valuables in my car rather than the pools – I wonder if this is a good decision?). Anyhow, I started to check the phone as I sat in the car because I have decided not to use my phone whilst driving as it is unsafe and against the law. As I was doing so, I caught sight of a man on the footpath in front of my car. I got a weird feeling and instinctively switched the locks on my car. Click.
How many years have you restricted your diet for?
How many diets have you tried?
How many times have you told yourself you are ‘fat’ or ‘unfit’?
Do you think you are ‘bad’ and eat and eat and eat without restriction?
Do you crave foods?
Do you resist for a bit….and then give into temptation?
And then punish yourself in some way?
How much weight do you want to ‘lose’?
There is a way for you to reveal your true reasons behind the dieting. There is a way to unleash motivation that is easy and sustainable. There is a way to have the healthy body you require for a fabulous life. You simply need to have the courage to see the light and consider new options.
Coaching is a fabulous way to get to the truth of the stuck issue. For instance, sometimes the issue is boredom in life rather than lack of motivation to diet. Or sometimes you are in habits that no longer serve you. Sometimes the truth doesn’t want to be found but a revolutionary solution is found instead. Individualised problems need individualised solutions.
If you transform the way you look at eating you can remove the conflict, the resistance, the punishment and embrace the joy, happiness, satisfaction and fulfilment instead.
Imagine the energy you can use on living life if you remove the energy spent on resisting and punishing yourself around food!
Food for thought!
Cheers to fulfilling days, weeks, months and years,
You need to read this blog post.
If I left it at this statement – you need to read this blog post. I doubt the reader engagement will be high.
However if I continued to say, why you should read this you maybe more interested. The why question has been widely discussed in the coaching and personal development fields by coaches and speakers including Simon Sinek. The why question is the first aspect of successful engagement in learning (and in advertising). It tugs at your curiosity and leads you to want to know more. It is an important question. However, what if ‘why’ question should be swapped to the ‘how’ question.
Do you ever ask yourself ‘why’ a million times going deeper and deeper into the depths of an issue or problem only to find yourself still in the same position as before? No action has been taken. You are still as stuck. You have delved into the rabbit hole and could’ve come to any number of answers to the ‘why’ question. What if you accept that to some level there is a ‘why’ and yet dismiss the answer to the ‘why’ question and instead ask ‘how?’ For instance, ‘how can I move forward from this negativity?’, ‘how can I make a difference in this relationship?’ and ‘how can I resolve my health issues?’ you are likely to get more ACTION, more GO FORWARD and more POSITIVITY than the ‘why’ question alone.
Try it out on that area of life you are stuck in. Find an exciting outcome you want to move towards and start taking actions to move away from the stuckness and towards your bright future. It all starts with asking HOW?
Start asking better questions today!
Our trusted machinery from the television to the tiny parts on the car can fail, so can our most trusted businesses (you know the ‘sure bet’ investment ones) and likewise our lives and our health can fail, get stuck and out of alignment.
Have you ever heard the following terminology?
Car: Stuck in the mud, broken down, crashed….
Business: Entire board replaced, new CEO fails to make the changes needed….
Health: Polypharmacy (numerous medication use), overuse syndrome, chronic fatigue, man flu, PMS, binge drinking, binge eating….
What do all of these have in common?
Patterns and systems are failing and or malfunctioning and leading to signs and symptoms of destruction. For instance, the car is not moving, the company rapidly dropping on the stock market and the person displaying ill-health through pain, fatigue and or irritability.
Have you ever asked yourself “how important is my health?”, “can I manage without my car today?” or “what would happen if that company collapses?” Often we do not ask these questions, we dismiss, procrastinate and distract ourselves from the important BIG questions. So, perhaps now is the time to ask yourself, “am I stuck right now?”, “what specifically am I stuck in?” and “what am I going to do about it?”
Be curious, be wise and enjoy getting out of the mud!
In magnificent health,
mBIT - multiple Brain Integration Techniques
Have you ever said - ''Just follow your heart?'' or ''my gut instinct said NO!'' or ''You're headless''? These simple statements actually have greater meaning.
Two incredibly smart researchers and trainers Grant Soosalu and Marvin Oka have developed a ground breaking coaching technique to unlock our inner wisdom. It is based on Scientific research and behavioural modelling research. Our head brain contains neurons and is a complex neural network however did you know that the heart and our gut also have similar neurons and complexity in that they learn and also contain feeling memories?
Yes it does sound unusual however you have to understand the concepts are based on scientific research and also of course our heart and gut do not process the same way as our head brain. However ancient wisdom traditions have said for thousands of years that we contain wisdom in our bodies – our heart and our gut. Remember the yoga teacher talking about Chakras? Well the scientific research is backing this up. Those statements at the top of the blog also indicate that through our language we do mention all three brains. Can you think of any other examples of language that indicates one of the three brains?
mBIT is a coaching technique that enables the you to communicate and integrate information from your multiple brains (head, heart and gut brains). Each brain has a 'highest expression' and if the three brains are aligned then you are able to make better informed decisions in your life, lead others in an aligned authentic manner and resolving inner conflicts by tuning into your intuitions.
Get ready to bring out your compassionate heart, your creative head and courageous gut with mBIT coaching!

“Go to sleep, you have a busy day tomorrow, go to sleep, grr…., ok count some sheep. Its 1am – come on get to sleep!!”
Ever struggled to get to or stay asleep? This can be an awful situation where you are in a terrible pattern of anger, exhaustion and frustration. Essentially stuck between that beautiful restful rejuvenating sleep that you desire and fully awake alert and productive like you would be during the day.
Anyone who has been in this situation knows the awful cycle, the perpetuating cycle of poor sleep and the suffering that can occur because of it. And yet do we do this in our waking hours too? Eating habits? Emotional patterns such as anger, guilt or worry?
What if there was a way to unleash the real you? For instance if you could truly get to sleep when you want, eat nourishing foods and enjoy it and change those emotional patterns to joy, happiness and fulfilment, would you take action? Yes? Well read on now.
Our bodies and our minds are made up of patterns, well-travelled ways of doing things otherwise known as habits and behaviours. Usually we learn a particular way of thinking and this thought pattern can become familiar and easy to execute. For instance, do you have a friend who can sleep on a car, a train or a boat? The friend who will curl up wherever they are and if they are tired they will simply replenish their sleep reserves? They have patterned their behaviours and thought processes to make them an expert sleeper that insomniacs are extremely jealous of!
Our brains respond to circumstances, leading us into routine behaviours, some like the great sleeper we are particularly grateful for and other behaviours we would rather not do such as eating junk foods in large quantities when we have an intention to gain better health. For those well utilised unhelpful patterns, the brain works so quickly to patterned circumstances, we often don’t realize we’re reaching for another packet of chips, until we’re doing it!
There are several very effective Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) techniques that can help you transform your chosen behavioural pattern to a more useful and effective one. Furthermore, your coach will ensure the changes are aligned to your true needs and goals. This means you do not need restraining mind power to change a habit, instead you can make fast radical changes quickly.
