mBIT - multiple Brain Integration Techniques  
Have you ever said - ''Just follow your heart?'' or ''my gut instinct said NO!'' or ''You're headless''? These simple statements actually have greater meaning.  
Two incredibly smart researchers and trainers Grant Soosalu and Marvin Oka have developed a ground breaking coaching technique to unlock our inner wisdom. It is based on Scientific research and behavioural modelling research. Our head brain contains neurons and is a complex neural network however did you know that the heart and our gut also have similar neurons and complexity in that they learn and also contain feeling memories?  
Yes it does sound unusual however you have to understand the concepts are based on scientific research and also of course our heart and gut do not process the same way as our head brain. However ancient wisdom traditions have said for thousands of years that we contain wisdom in our bodies – our heart and our gut. Remember the yoga teacher talking about Chakras? Well the scientific research is backing this up. Those statements at the top of the blog also indicate that through our language we do mention all three brains. Can you think of any other examples of language that indicates one of the three brains?  
mBIT is a coaching technique that enables the you to communicate and integrate information from your multiple brains (head, heart and gut brains). Each brain has a 'highest expression' and if the three brains are aligned then you are able to make better informed decisions in your life, lead others in an aligned authentic manner and resolving inner conflicts by tuning into your intuitions.

The stuck files: episode one

“Go to sleep, you have a busy day tomorrow, go to sleep, grr…., ok count some sheep. Its 1am – come on get to sleep!!”

Ever struggled to get to or stay asleep? This can be an awful situation where you are in a terrible pattern of anger, exhaustion and frustration. Essentially stuck between that beautiful restful rejuvenating sleep that you desire and fully awake alert and productive like you would be during the day.

Anyone who has been in this situation knows the awful cycle, the perpetuating cycle of poor sleep and the suffering that can occur because of it. And yet do we do this in our waking hours too? Eating habits? Emotional patterns such as anger, guilt or worry?

What if there was a way to unleash the real you? For instance if you could truly get to sleep when you want, eat nourishing foods and enjoy it and change those emotional patterns to joy, happiness and fulfilment, would you take action? Yes? Well read on now.

Our bodies and our minds are made up of patterns, well-travelled ways of doing things otherwise known as habits and behaviours. Usually we learn a particular way of thinking and this thought pattern can become familiar and easy to execute. For instance, do you have a friend who can sleep on a car, a train or a boat? The friend who will curl up wherever they are and if they are tired they will simply replenish their sleep reserves? They have patterned their behaviours and thought processes to make them an expert sleeper that insomniacs are extremely jealous of!

Our brains respond to circumstances, leading us into routine behaviours, some like the great sleeper we are particularly grateful for and other behaviours we would rather not do such as eating junk foods in large quantities when we have an intention to gain better health. For those well utilised unhelpful patterns, the brain works so quickly to patterned circumstances, we often don’t realize we’re reaching for another packet of chips, until we’re doing it!

There are several very effective Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) techniques that can help you transform your chosen behavioural pattern to a more useful and effective one. Furthermore, your coach will ensure the changes are aligned to your true needs and goals. This means you do not need restraining mind power to change a habit, instead you can make fast radical changes quickly.

strategies for increased self esteem & confidence

Do you have a test or challenge in your life?
Do you worry about failing?
Do you procrastinate and self-sabotage your ultimate goal?


Two important areas of managing failure, procrastination and challenges are self-esteem and self confidence. 

Self esteem = Worthy of respect from others
 
Self confidence = Belief in yourself
 
Confidence and self-esteem are work in a loop. If you believe in yourself you will feel worthy of respect from others. Likewise if you are worthy of respect from others then you will believe in yourself.

If you had increased amounts and greater intensities of these two factors how likely would it be for you to get what you wanted out of life?

The following segment contains some simple ideas of how to notice your self-confidence and self-esteem and build these areas of your life.  

1. Know yourself well
Without the trophies, without the objects of status, without the job title – WHO ARE YOU?

Ask yourself the tough questions including:
- What are my principles in life?
- What is important, sacred, special?
- What or whom are your priorities?

2. Set small goals and take small steps to help get you to the ultimate goal  
The more prepared you are and the more competent you are through practice and achievement of little goals, the more confident you will feel in feeling like you can and will achieve the ultimate goal. Why? Because you will believe and know you have taken the steps and have the skills to get there.
 
Think of more ways that you can increase your self-esteem and self-confidence in your life  
You may find that different areas of your life call for different strategies. Try several out. Consider new options to what is comfortable and normally ‘your way’.
